Gonzalo Aguilar will be the new CEO of Minor Hotels Europe & Americas starting January 1, 2025. Aguilar will replace current CEO Ramón Aragonés who will retire but will continue to serve on the board of directors as non-executive vice president
Turnover at Minor Hotels, a global owner, operator and investor in the hotel industry. In fact, from next year Gonzalo Aguilar will be the new CEO of Minor Hotels Europe & Americas.

Since joining the group in 2009, then known as NH Hotel Group, he was instrumental in transforming it into one of the leading giants in the hospitality industry in Europe and the Americas, demonstrating leadership, vision and tireless dedication throughout his tenure.
Today, as we celebrate his extraordinary legacy, we also extend our gratitude for his outstanding contributions to Minor Hotels.” Rajakarier added: “Gonzalo’s deep experience in the hospitality industry and proven leadership will be instrumental in guiding and executing Minor Hotels Europe & Americas’ strategic business plan.
His invaluable insights into the asset-light multi-brand hotel market in Europe and the Americas will position Minor Hotels on the path to success.”
Aguilar brings more than 30 years of industry experience to Minor Hotels. He joins the group after having been Chief Operating Officer for EMEA and responsible for the growth and record earnings in the region in the Marriott group. During his career at Marriott, Aguilar has contributed to numerous milestones. For example, the successful integration of AC Hotels following its acquisition by Marriott.
Aguilar also served as general manager of Marriott properties throughout the Americas before moving to management positions in Europe. He began his career at Marriott in the United States in 1994 as a Restaurant Manager at the Denver Marriott Tech in Colorado.
