Forum sulla Sostenibilità

Last October 25, hospitality and sustainability met at Hilton Milan for the second edition of the Sustainability Forum, the event for analysis and in-depth analysis of the challenges and opportunities related to corporate sustainability conceived and promoted by Hilton Milan

Sustainability is increasingly central to Hilton Milan. In fact, the hotel has just hosted the second edition of the Sustainability Forum.

The goal? To stimulate the sensitivity of the new generations towards issues that impact their own future, involving students from some prestigious Milanese universities through an important challenge.

That is, to create a sustainable project related to the tourism sector, including a wide range of topics, from eco-friendly hotel facilities to sustainable tourism practices.

Strongly desired by General Manager Daniele Fabbri, Italian Leader for ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) projects at Hilton, Hilton Sustainability Forum is a unique opportunity for training and information on the challenges related to climate change.

But also an opportunity for young university students to create connections with leaders and professionals in this sector.

The projects created by the young participants in the Forum were evaluated by a high-profile jury composed of some members of the Hilton board. For example, Daniele Fabbri, General Manager of Hilton Milan and Alessandro Cabella, Hilton Area General Manager for Italy. And Fausto Ciarcia, Director of Human Resources and Valeria Fruscio, General Manager of Aleph Rome Hotel, Curio Collection By Hilton.

The winner of the second edition of the Hilton Sustainability Cup is the project “H.Y.P.E.R. – Hilton and YesMilano Partner for Enhanced Renewal”. The authors are Federica De Salve, Marta Cortesi and Monica Crotti, students at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.

The evaluation criteria used were: originality of the project, feasibility and ease of implementation, area of implementation. And also expected costs for the implementation, sustainable impact (if 100% or in lower percentages) and SMART objective.

The 2024 edition of the Hilton Sustainability Forum saw the involvement of important speakers.
