For several editions already, the Salone del Mobile.Milano has been increasingly sustainable. In fact, he has demonstrated a concrete commitment to seeking solutions and implementing virtuous practices.
This is demonstrated by adherence to the United Nations Global Compact – the most important global initiative for corporate sustainability – and the sharing of Green Guidelines for the design and construction of exhibition stands.
And, above all, the ISO 20121 certification, obtained by the event for its sustainable event management system, applied in the planning, implementation and management phases of the event.
Environmental, economic and social responsibility will also be priorities in the 2024 edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano.
In fact, it is committed to organizing all activities and events (both those managed directly by the Show and those managed by exhibiting companies) so that they have as positive an impact as possible on the surrounding social and environmental ecosystem.
Not only that: they are oriented towards the efficient use of resources, the reduction of waste, the protection of people’s rights and diversity, the health and safety of event participants and workers involved in the organisation, as well as guaranteeing benefits for all participating businesses and local communities.
From this perspective, the sustainable event management system, in compliance with the ISO 20121: 2013 standard, is an opportunity for constant improvement. As? By continuing to question the effects of one’s actions from an environmental, social and economic point of view and by cultivating sustainable behaviors.
