The first edition of the Italy Ambassador Awards is coming, born from an idea by Svetlana Trushnikova. It is a recognition for the best influencers and content creators from around the world that promote Italy, to highlight the excellence of ‘made in Italy’ in an increasingly competitive international tourism scenario. A vision shared by Toscana Promozione Turistica which hosts the event on November 29th on the occasion of BTO Florence.
First edition for Italy Ambassador Awards. It is the first Italian award for the best influencers and bloggers from all over the world who promote Italy.
Designed by Svetlana Trushnikova, it aims to give due recognition to those who value tourism, the artistic and cultural heritage, design, fashion and food and wine of the Bel Paese, using social media.
“Italy Ambassador Awards” was immediately greeted with euphoria by the Influencers who signed up in large numbers, based on their skills, in one of the 5 categories. After the selection, the semifinalists will arrive in Florence on November 29th during the BTO in Florence for the award ceremony and the gala dinner.
The event sees the collaboration of Toscana Promozione Turistica and the patronage of ENIT. and a jury with prestigious names including Matteo Lunelli (President of Ferrari Trento and Alta Gamma), Monia Ronconi (Fonder & Web Editor HotelmyPassion) Sonia Peronaci (Giallo Zafferano), Ludovica Casellati (Journalist and writer. Founder of Luxury Bike Hotels, Travel editor of Taste). The exceptional godmother will be the splendid actress Maria Grazia Cucinotta.
Italy Ambassador Awards: how it works
The prizes will be awarded to 5 categories: Travel, Food & Wine, Fashion, Beauty & Spa and Luxury Lifestyle. Each category is divided into 5 groups of followers: Micro, Junior, Expert, Advanced Blogger and Top Influencer.
The selection will take place through a contest dedicated to sustainability. During the contest, influencers will create 1 post / video / reel, depending on the social network with which they have chosen to participate (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, TikTok).
They will choose from these themes: sustainable tourism and responsible travel, healthy and sustainable eating, sustainable fashion & slow fashion.
The Digital Expert Team will select the best influencers. They will advance to the semi-finals and will be invited to the nominations ceremony and gala dinner. On this occasion the best 25 Best Italian Ambassadors will be awarded.
The prices
During the award ceremony there will also be prizes and surprises from sponsors and partners. Such as Alpen Suite Hotel in Madonna di Campiglio, Hotel Orlando in Sardinia, 25Hourshotels in Florence, Gardacqua, Bidroom, Hotel Savoy Florence in Rocco Forte Hotel, Planetaria Hotels, Palazzo Castri, QCTreme, Hotel Preidlhof. The best influencers will have the opportunity to participate in a blog tour organized with the Region to discover and rediscover the great cultural, food and wine and spa heritage of Tuscany.
Svetlana Trushnikova: power of the idea
Born and raised in St. Petersburg, she moved to Italy in 2009. For the first two years you worked as a commercial employee. But she didn’t feel fulfilled. This is why you started the influencer business.
In fact, she created the FB page “Italy Augmented” then renamed “Italy Ambassador” where she talks about the beautiful country to potential foreign tourists with the Russian language.
Since 2017 you have started organizing Educational for Tour Operators and Press Trips for journalists. In 2018 you organized the Symposium on Wine Tourism between Italy and Russia in Bardolino.
But how did the idea of the Italy Ambassador Awards come about?
“It was February 2021, I was walking like every day in a field near home and I was thinking about my future work, my freelance activity in the field of marketing and communication which had been significantly reduced due to Covid.
I had already created events and I had a good knowledge of the work of Influencer, which thanks to my Facebook page (Italy Ambassador 120K) until 2019 had given me good satisfaction.
Every now and then I stopped and thought about the road made since my arrival in Italy until today and I remembered the recognition received by Facebook a few years ago for choosing my page as one of their Success Stories: a great gratification. Suddenly a problem became an opportunity, reflecting that for Influencers there are no important awards even though they know very well the amount of work behind it, so I conceived a new project combining the award, my ten-year experience in Italy and the my creativity “.
The jury
The jury will be chaired by Giorgio Palmucci (former president of ENIT and advisor to the tourism minister). HotelmyPassion in the person of its founder Monia Ronconi will be part of it by virtue of the consolidated expertise in the luxury hotel sector. The other members of the jury are: Matteo Lunelli (President of Ferrari Trento and Alta Gamma), Alberto Lupini (Director in charge of Italia a Tavola), Davide Manzoni (Comfort Zone), Sonia Peronaci (Giallo Zafferano), Ludovica Casellati (Journalist and writer .
