Strategic and magnificent location, right in the beating heart of Marrakech. The name La Mamounia dates back to the eighteenth century.
Its story began with King Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah, who used to offer his children, as a wedding gift, a house with a garden located outside the Kasbah. This is how Abdessalam, Mamoun, Moussa and Hassan became the names of the gardens that the king gave them.
These gardens, “Arsats”, are still known today, but only Arsat al-Mamoun was destined to become famous and inspire the name of La Mamounia. Since its creation, La Mamounia has established itself as a true monument, the result of the intertwining of traditional Moroccan architecture and Art Decò. Impossible to tell, it is one of those places to live at least once in a lifetime.
