From Sicily to Scotland on a luxury train. Eight stages (+ one) connect the Group’s iconic properties between Italy and Europe. A contemporary and customizable Grand Tour to collect a corollary of unique experiences by staying in the most iconic hotels of each destination
Do you want to relive the charm of the Grand Tour in a contemporary way? To experience the magic of traveling between the most beautiful cities in Europe at a slow pace that allows you to rediscover the true meaning of travel?
Rocco Forte Hotels launches an extraordinary 8-stage train itinerary that touches Palermo, Rome, Florence, Munich, Berlin, Brussels, London and Edinburgh. That is, ideal starting points for collecting a corollary of unique experiences.
The initial destination of the trip is Villa Igiea in Palermo, where guests can let themselves be enveloped by the warmth of Sicilian hospitality and the Mediterranean sun. From here it is also possible to add an extra stop dedicated to relaxation in the 230 hectare estate of the Verdura Resort on the Agrigento coast.
From the Sicilian capital we go up towards Rome where the stay is at the Hotel de Russie, a relaxing oasis in the lively heart of the Capitol where you can be won over by the iconic secret garden designed by Valadier before continuing towards Florence and the Hotel Savoy, the city’s parlor with its view directly onto Piazza della Repubblica.
Crossing the Alps, you arrive in Munich and The Charles Hotel, where after a day spent among museums and breweries you can relax in the magnificent indoor swimming pool of the Spa and indulge in a treatment with Irene Forte Skincare products.
The second stop on German soil is at the Hotel de Rome in Berlin. Housed in the former headquarters of the Dresdner Bank, it boasts a panoramic terrace with unmissable views of the city centre’s attractions.
From Germany the passage is through Belgium, with a stop in the fascinating Hotel Amigo in Brussels to discover the brand new Bar Magritte homage to the surrealist artist, before crossing the Channel and arriving in the United Kingdom.
Here are the 2 final stops of the tour. That is, Brown’s Hotel in the heart of London’s Mayfair district and The Balmoral in Edinburgh. They are both true Grande Dames of 5-star luxury hospitality on British soil.
Guests have complete autonomy throughout the entire journey. In fact, it can be customized both in the direction of travel and in the stops that make it up. And also in the duration of stay in cities.
