Relais et Chateaux Villa Crespi, an icon of Italian hospitality in the marvelous setting of Lake Orta, is preparing for another fantastic season opening on Friday, March 30th in addition to being extremely pleased to announce its new “5-star Luxury Historic Hotel” ranking; a important recognition the Relais is celebrating with the news for 2018.
Chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo’s 2-star Michelin Restaurant opens Friday, March 30th. They will be offering a special menu for Easter lunch and, from this year, guests will be able to enjoy lunch on Tuesdays (the restaurant is closed for lunch and dinner on Mondays).
Antonino Cannavacciuolo’s Restaurant, one of the most prestigious in Italian gourmet, will reopen the veranda and three internal rooms with a bit of restyling. These areas, along with the lounge bar, create, inside Villa Crespi, the magical atmosphere of the Arabian Nights, framed by the century-old park of the Villa and the natural beauty of a small lake, yet to be discovered. Vital energy will take form in the dishes and people ready to welcome guests in a new ambience with a gourmet experience and a sense well-being throughout their entire stay.
Since 1999, under the direct supervision of Cinzia and Antonino Cannavacciuolo, the Relais et Chateaux Villa Crespi has become an unmissable destination for lovers of excellence; the 14 rooms and suites are located on three different floors and all contain the Arabian charm of the Villa. It was Cristoforo Benigno Crespi, owner of the Villa in 1879, who chose this style as inspiration for his “dream” home, where stuccos and inlays welcome guests on a journey through the Middle East. It is this fine style, that even today, the Relais still adorns its rooms with period furniture, the bathrooms with precious marbles and other numerous details, like the floors, decorated in an elaborate solid oak parquet from the 19th Century.
Guaranteed is the wellness experience, offered in the Wellness Suite located on the third floor of the Relais, where guests may choose from one of the different spa packages linked to the Ayurveda philosophy; massages and treatments creating an emotional experience guided by the professionalism and care of expert therapists.

For the reopening and Easter, the restaurant will offer a special culinary journey, while from Tuesday, April 3rd, our dinner guests will be able to order off the menu or can choose from one of the tasting menus, with the guaranteed classics of the Chef’s cuisine, a journey of flavors from the South to the North and a new wine list where wines may be enjoyed by the glass or be savored along side the Carpe Diem or Itinerario tasting menus.
