ponti di primavera

The next spring long weekends are April 25th and May 1st the perfect opportunity to discover Sardinia. To experience regenerating days in contact with the nature of the island, appreciating all its charm far from summer overtourism

Are you planning a short break for the spring long weekend? The perfect destination is Sardinia, to be amazed by the beauty of the still deserted beaches and the scents of the Mediterranean scrub in bloom.
Whether you choose a 5-star hotel by the sea, a farmhouse in the Gallura countryside, a resort with a Michelin restaurant or a boutique hotel in the heart of the capital, you will be enchanted by the beauty of the island.

Here are 4 charming addresses for spring holidays in Sardinia.
1-7Pines Resort Sardinia, Baja

In a privileged position facing the islands of the La Maddalena archipelago, the 7Pines Resort Sardinia is the ideal choice for spring long weekends.

The hotel offers a main beach and 4 coves.

Those who prefer center stage can choose between the spectacular pool with swim-up bar or the Cone Club, the resort’s beach club. In the evening you dine at Capogiro, the restaurant where you can enjoy cuisine that enhances local raw materials.

Or in the brand new Spazio by Franco Pepe which opens on May 4th with a menu signed by the most famous pizza chef in the world.

Not to be missed: the morning yoga lessons on the beach, a signature ritual of 7Pines, to be combined with the Pure Seven Spa. That is, 800 m2 of pure well-being with 5 cabins for treatments, including for couples, relaxation area, Turkish bath, ice room and a space for the Kneipp path.

2-Petra Segreta Resort & Spa, San Pantaleo

Hidden on the hills of San Pantaleo, behind the Costa Smeralda, the Petra Segreta Resort is a refuge of bien vivre, where the unostentatious luxury typical of a Relais & Chateaux residence meets haute cuisine.
The resort hosts 27 rooms and suites, 11 of which have a private heated pool, and the new Petra Signature Pool Suite, all personally looked after by the host Rosella Marchese.
A world apart where guests forget stress and rediscover well-being, also thanks to the therapeutic power of the large granite boulders scattered throughout the property and the gourmet philosophy curated by the Executive Chef and owner Luigi Bergeretto in collaboration with the award-winning Enrico Bartolini. Together they sign the menu of Il Fuoco Sacro, the one Michelin star restaurant of the resort, one of the most popular gastronomic destinations on the island.
Not to be missed: a visit to the small village of San Pantaleo to discover the artisan workshops and artists’ ateliers.

3-Gallicantu Stazzo Retreat, Luogosanto

Over 3 hectares of Mediterranean scrub and granites with anthropomorphic shapes hide the few rooms and suites of Gallicantu, a stone’s throw from the historic village of Luogosanto, in the heart of Gallura.

The stazzo, the fulcrum of Gallura’s agro-pastoral life for hundreds of years, is now a charming retreat where you can rediscover the slow rhythms of nature.

At the center of the estate is the swimming pool created among the rocks, perfect for a bit of relaxation before trying your hand at a local cooking lesson or testing your artistic skills with a watercolor course.

In the evening the guests meet in the King’s Garden. That is, the lounge under the large centenary olive tree, for an aperitif based on cured meats and cheeses from small producers selected throughout the island, accompanied in season by jazz concerts.

Not to be missed: the treasure hunt to discover the secrets of Gallicantu. Whoever finds all 18 hidden points wins a special prize created personally by the hosts, Raffaella Manca and Marco Berio.

A visit to Luogosanto is unmissable, which owes its name to the 22 country churches scattered throughout its territory.

Finally, City of Wine, the town is home to Vermentino di Gallura, the only DOCG on the island, and to important internationally recognized wineries.

4-Casa Clàt, Cagliari

Among the sunniest cities in Italy, it is in spring that Cagliari offers its best. A natural extension of the center and its nightlife, Casa Clàt is perfect for enjoying the capital like a true local.

The boutique hotel offers 9 suites with a contemporary style, fun and different from each other, created by artists and designers inspired by the sea and its wonders.

The bar and restaurant have direct access from Viale Regina Margherita, one of the liveliest streets and the heart of the city’s shopping.

But the garden is the space to be enjoyed in the summer. In fact, guests love to have an aperitif to accompany the homemade raw meats while enjoying the many scheduled happenings.

Not to be missed: an evening at the Teatro Lirico, one of the symbols of the city, with its rich program of operas and ballets. Casa Clàt is giving away 2 free tickets for the Saturday evening show to those who book the “Invitation to the theater” offer, available only on the hotel website. Also unmissable is a visit to Poetto, the beach of Cagliari: 12 kilometers of beach, both free and equipped.
