Beauty is rewarded. In fact, Helvetia & Bristol Firenze – Starhotels Collezione won 1st prize for “Best Design” at the first edition of the Best Luxury Hotel Awards 2024.
The award was conceived by Teamwork Hospitality with the contribution of Elle Decor and EHMA. The goal? To celebrate the facilities that have stood out for their excellent service, innovation, design, gastronomic and wellness offerings, managerial direction and commitment to sustainability.
The awards ceremony took place on September 25 at the Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan. The important recognition was collected by Elisabetta Fabri, President and CEO of Starhotels and Federico Versari, General Manager of Helvetia & Bristol Firenze since its reopening in May 2019.
Helvetia & Bristol Firenze – Starhotels Collezione, born as a historic residence, has always been considered the first luxury hotel in the heart of Florence since 1885.
The process of total restyling and expansion that has affected it since 2019 has primarily involved an impressive renovation of the historic wing that has preserved its original nineteenth-century structure.
At the same time, the annexation of the adjacent building that once housed the Banco di Roma, led to the creation of 25 new rooms and suites. They have interiors designed by the famous designer Anouska Hempel.
Finally, the creation of the exclusive SPA marked the completion of the rebirth project of the historic hotel.
It is the largest SPA in the historic center of Florence. It represents an iconic wellness destination, located where the ancient Capitoline Baths of Roman Florentia once stood.
Enriched with mirrors, crystals, precious fabrics, lanterns and wrought iron canopy beds based on an original design, in this place of excellence all the details tell the story of Made in Italy hospitality.
Visiting it is impossible not to feel inspired and not to experience a deep sense of “wonder”.
