Last 10th October 2014, Millennium Hotels & Resorts has opened its first hotel in Italy, as it takes over the Boscolo Palace Hotel, under the new name of Grand Hotel Palace.
The luxury five star hotel, which has a distinctive contemporary art deco style, is situated on one of Rome’s most fashionable and exclusive streets, Via Veneto; the centrepiece of the Dolce Vita. The impressive period building is situated opposite the American Embassy, between the Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese, in the middle of the city’s historic centre.
It was once known as the Ambassadors’ Palace and is one of the masterpieces of the illustrious architect, Marcello Piacentini. Grand Hotel Palace is a boutique hotel with 87 elegant guest rooms, all of refined Italian design and offering the highest standard of modern amenities. The suites are extremely luxurious and some of them offer stunning panoramic views over the city from their private terraces. The hotel has a fine dining restaurant and a bistro, which offer guests different experiences and cater for all tastes. Ristorante Cadorin & Lounge Bar is decorated with Cadorin’s frescoes and serves refined local and international-inspired dishes, whereas Piero’s Bistrot offers a wide selection of drinks and a light menu in its alfresco location, on the terrace outside the front of the hotel.
An oriental oasis and one of the top urban retreats in the city, the hotel’s spa, Kami Spa, has a Jacuzzi, sauna, fitness centre and a centre of well-being, where guests can enjoy Asian-inspired treatments.
