Grand Hotel Kronenhof svela l’ultima fase del restyling firmato da Pierre-Yves Rochon
Grand Hotel Kronenhof unveils the last phase of the restyling signed by Pierre-Yves Rochon
Grand Hotel Kronenhof, more than 170 years after its foundation, continues to surprise and unveils the last phase of the restyling signed by Pierre-Yves Rochon.
First the rooms and suites renovated in recent years, then the inauguration of the refreshed Play & Smokers Lounge. The restyling involved restoration of the lobby, the fireplace room, the reception and the Kronenhof Bar.
Precious materials such as velvet, silk and leather are the protagonists of the project that will take the hotel on a journey towards the contemporary era and style.
Fil-rouge that accompanies guests from their arrival at the reception to the lobby and the fireplace room is a palette played on different gray-blue shades, in full contrast with the ivory walls.
At the entrance to the hotel there are new carpets in bright shades adorned with white marble cabochons and a local gray stone floor. These lead to the central corridor where the original restored oak parquet has been maintained. On the ceiling the frescoes of the painter Otto Haberer have been restored to the splendor of the early ‘900. The collection of antique wall clocks, as per tradition from Grand Hotel, indicates the time of the main world capitals.
The flagship of the restyling is the Kronenhof Bar. The intriguing personality of the environment is highlighted by the counterpoint between the walls lit by a new dark red tones and the wooden panels behind the counter of a very elegant midnight blue color. The panels are embellished with embossed decorations illuminated by the artist Jane Puylagarde. At the center of the room catches the eye a golden chandelier by Charles Paris chez Rubelli.
The overall result is absolutely unique, of a timeless refinement, and does not betray the welcoming atmosphere that has always distinguished the Grand Hotel Kronenhof.
