Save the Date! Thursday 2 August Castello Del Nero Hotel & Spa brings together the best Tuscan food and wine producers in Tavarnelle Val Di Pesa and fixes the gourmet event of the summer on the agenda: On the Terrace at the Castle, an unmissable buffet dinner on the panoramic terrace, which celebrates culinary heritage of the region through local excellence.
Coordinating the evening – also accessible to external guests – Giovani Luca Di Pirro, Executive Chef of the resort awarded 1 Michelin Star since 2014 at the La Torre restaurant.
The menu enhances tradition through the genuine productions of regional protagonists such as Simone Fracassi, the “Italian butcher of Chianina IGP” and ambassador of Tuscan butchery in the world thanks to the historic family butcher shop; the master pizza maker of Campanian origin – but Tuscan by adoption – Giovanni Santarpia, also celebrated by the Gambero Rosso guide Pizzerie d’Italia 2018; the “Master of Art and Craft” Sergio Dondoli, custodian of the artisan ice cream tradition in the ancient boutique of San Gimignano, where he creates unusual flavors inspired by the territory.
The products of the Laura Peri farm, the De’ Magi cheeses, the Menchetti focaccia, the unpasteurized craft beers of the Birrificio Valdarno Superiore and the sweets of the Pasticceria Bagnoli complete the evening’s firmament.
The bubbles of Ferrari Trento are the exceptional partners of the event, which lightly accompany all the proposals; while after dinner, the Maledetto Toscano club and its president Stefano Fanticelli offer the possibility of ending the evening in style by tasting a cigar.
