It was 1817 when Antonio Cova opened “Caffè del Giardino” (Garden Caffè) near La Scala Theatre, in Milan.

During the Second World War it was destroyed by bombs, so Antonio Cova decided to move the café to a new location, where it currently is, in via Montenapoleone 8.

It became immediately the coolest address of the city, in the heart of “Quadrilatero della moda”.
