Villa & Palazzo Aminta – The ultra-romantic 5-star in Stresa overlooking the Gulf of the Borromeo Islands
celebrated its hundred-and-first birthday with a sophisticated party
On 18 June in Stresa, the noble pearl of Lake Maggiore, Villa & Palazzo Aminta celebrated its hundred-and-first birthday with an event of rare class. Just before sunset, the splendid light of the golden hour marked the beginning of an exclusive party. Together with the owner and management, illustrious guests and political personages celebrated the anniversary that makes the 5-star a symbol of high-end hospitality.
A rich and refined aperitif preceded the spectacular coking show, during which chef Giuseppe Vigna demonstrated his creativity, skill and professionalism.
Still today, Villa and Palazzo Aminta cherishes this innate family spirit that seems to be carefully distilled in every single stone. Strolling lazily among its sumptuous halls and its lavish corridors gives a distinct perception of its warm and reassuring soul.
The Zanetta family, who currently own the hotel, has successfully striven to bring Villa and Palazzo Aminta back to its original splendour. Roberto and Beatrice and their daughter Daniela are the custodians of this majestic dwelling, which gleams like a precious jewel of the Belle Époque, where it is still possible to breathe its pomp and delicate elegance.

History and charm
Originally established as the personal residence of the Admiral of the Royal Navy Francesco Capece, the hotel is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and still today bears the name of his wife Aminta. In 1918 the Admiral, who had fallen in love with the gentle lake landscape, decided to lay the foundations for his refined dwelling on these verdant slopes.
