Geneva Marriott Hotel, this is the name of the new hotel, is in the Meyrin district, known as the “gateway” to Geneva, close to Palexpo and the airport.
Cutting-edge design
The design of the Geneva Marriott Hotel is inspired by the story of aviation pioneers Armand and Henri Dufaux and celebrates bold and ambitious entrepreneurs as well as the freedom and excitement that comes with travel. Using motifs, artwork and decorative elements inspired by Swiss industrial heritage, the Geneva Marriott Hotel offers a combination that balances intuitive flexibility with sophisticated finishes.
Rooms with a view
Flooded with natural light, the 263 rooms and suites have large windows offering unobstructed views of the Alps and the Jura. The Sky View Suite also features a 90 square meter terrace.
Guests are welcomed into the Great Room, a bright hall full of architectural details and decorations. The lounge and cocktail bar located in the Great Room is a place to relax. The mixologists prepare the drinks live, thus allowing guests to experience a real cocktail experience.
Also in the Great Room is the Moments restaurant. It offers a wide range of seasonal dishes. The open kitchen, managed by the Executive Chef Fabrizio Domilici.
Spaces for events and business people
Geneva Marriott Hotel promotes “networking” through 7 meeting spaces: a ballroom, a plenary room, which can accommodate heavy equipment such as a car, 4 meeting rooms and a mezzanine.
The hotel also features the M Club, a space reserved for Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador Elite members, as well as Club Room and Suite guests, with complimentary breakfast, beverages and cold plates throughout the day. Accessible 24/7, the M Club offers free premium Wi-Fi.
The sustainable hotel
The building is equipped with a district heating system: the water is heated up to 120 degrees by burning domestic waste. For the air conditioning, water is collected in the ground beneath the hotel to cool the building and then returned to the earth without being polluted. Furthermore, the windows are equipped with “Saint Gobain” Electrochromic Glass. This tinted glass automatically adjusts to the outside temperature to cool or heat spaces.
To complete the sustainability path of the structure there are electric recharging points and a large space for parking bicycles.
