It is almost here. On the first of September the second Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas resort will be opened in the Sultanate of Oman. Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara, located just 15 kilometres from the airport, was designed and constructed on the model of traditional Omani fortresses. The imposing architecture is framed by a tropical garden, pathways for strolling among the palm trees scattered all around, and fountains creating an atmosphere of peace and harmony. What’s more, the 88 Pool Villas with one or two rooms surprise guests with private pools that you can adjust the temperature in, and a private butler, while the elegant three-room Royal Beach Villa boasts a majestic view of the bay and expresses the finest luxury and opulence.
The resort’s three restaurants range from Asian cuisine to cosmopolitan: Sakalan restaurant serves international fare, and is open all day; Mekong restaurant offers the traditional dishes of the regions that the river of the same name flows through; and Almina, the bar-restaurant with a sea view, specializes in barbecues and buffets. Guests seeking a romantic and private atmosphere flock to Dining by Design to enjoy a bespoke menu prepared by a personal chef, served in an exclusive location on the beach. There is also a full room service menu, served directly in your room or villa.
