Brown’s Hotel by Rocco Forte Hotels inaugurates the Sir Paul Smith Suite. A design masterpiece, it is a true oasis that stimulates creativity among works of art, details and furnishing accessories that reflect the eclectic taste of the famous British designer
Anyone planning a trip to London can stay in an incredible suite. In fact Brown’s Hotel by Rocco Forte Hotels has just unveiled the new Sir Paul Smith Suite.
It was designed by the famous British designer with Olga Polizzi, director of design of the Group.
The suite is an ideal space to stimulate inspiration and creativity. In fact, works of art, details and furnishing accessories reflect the eclectic taste of the designer.
For example, the custom and vintage carpets and furnishings, up to the iconic blankets and cushions of the first Paul Smith Home Collection launched in 2022.
In addition, several pieces come from Paul Smith’s own office in his Covent Garden headquarters. Here then is the photograph of the Chatsworth House library by Christopher Simon Sykes and his 1970s leather desk chair designed by Mario Bellini.
Finally, Paul Smith has also created a library with his selection of art and design books for the use of Suite guests.
For interior design there is no lack of various products born of Paul Smith’s collaborations with important brands.
For example, sofas, tables and leather goods from his recent “Everyday Life” collection with DePadova; the Type 75 lamps, the result of a long-standing partnership with the British lighting brand Anglepoise. Finally, the plaid wool blankets he designed for Maharam.
Highlights of the décor are unique and whimsical details that reflect the designer’s characteristic sense of humor: handles in the shape of a banana, personalized “fire dogs” on the brazier to remember Homer (canine manager of the first Paul Smith store)
And also limited edition prints by photographer Julian Broad, a robot-shaped figurine made from a vintage camera and stylish striped tiles decorating the fireplace.
