1000 Miglia 2021, everything you need to know about the 39th edition of the Freccia Rossa starting from Brescia on Wednesday 16 June
1000 Miglia 2021 will start at 1:30 pm on Wednesday 16 June.
The cars in the race will start as usual from the ramp of Viale Venezia. They will travel almost 1,800 km through some of the most beautiful cities in Italy, before returning to Brescia on Saturday 19 June. Also for this year, in order to avoid crowds along the streets and squares of the municipality, it will be possible to attend the departure, arrival and the awards ceremony by connecting to the event site. For the first time in the history of the 1000 Miglia, the route will follow an anti-clockwise direction: from Brescia to Rome and back, with intermediate stage arrivals in Viareggio and Bologna.
The 2021 edition of the race, whose claim is “Crossing the future“, combines tradition and the future of the automobile. Alongside the vintage cars, the electric cars of the 1000 Miglia Green and the modern Supercars and Hypercars of the 1000 Miglia Experience. Since its inception in 1927, the 1000 Miglia has in fact been synonymous with innovation and a vocation for progress, bringing avant-garde cars onto Italian roads that have made audiences from all over the world dream.

The statement by Franco Gussalli Beretta, President of 1000 Miglia srl
“In many respects, the 2021 edition is a new“ special edition ”, after the great autumn adventure of last year. First of all, I think of the role of the event as a window on the future of the automobile and mobility, exactly as in the days when, on the streets of Italy, the whole world could admire the result of the most advanced engine technology. We wanted to celebrate this combination of tradition and projection into the future by keeping the motto “Crossing the future”, an expression that we at 1000 Miglia have made our own, making it an integral part of the logo of this edition of the event.
