The new Design for Life division of Studio Marco Piva is managed by the architect Sarah Gabaglio and has as its objective the development of solidarity projects to improve society at 360 degrees by focusing on sustainability, the enhancement of territories and, in the broadest sense of the term, on solidarity
Studio Marco Piva announces the birth of the Design for Life division, curated by architect Sarah Gabaglio with the active involvement of the various professionals working in the Studio.
Design for Life was born from the convergence of Sarah’s personal and professional paths, a harmonious encounter in which her passion for travel, cultures and different realities merge with the professional ethic of creating value for the places of living and dwelling.
For Studio Marco Piva, Architecture and Design have always contained stories and meaning, they are tools for people to provide a better quality of life.
This is why each design concept by SMP is translated into different ideas, each one connected to the heritage of the context in which it is inserted, narrating it, protecting it and giving it new life.
A real project culture, together with the latest social developments, is what has led Marco Piva and Sarah Gabaglio to dedicate an area of the Studio to the development of solidarity projects: following all aspects of social improvement, from sustainability to the promotion of local areas and to broader issues, from gender equality to support of the most vulnerable in the community.
The aim of Design for Life is, therefore, not just to carry out projects, but to build on the expertise developed over the years through research and sharing, in order to create a common project of solidarity with companies, clients and colleagues.
Currently the division, in collaboration with a partner company, is involved in a redevelopment project of a school building complex in the Piedmont region, and has volunteered to design, together with a team of professionals, a playground in the Lazio region for children with disabilities.
