Rocco Forte hotels and resorts in Italy and Germany are set to reopen in June
Rocco Forte Hotels has announced that a number of hotels and resorts within the hotel group are set to reopen for the summer months, showing signs of positivity in the tourism industry and encouragement for travels to resume this summer.
“I am pleased that after many weeks of lockdown throughout Europe, where our hotels are located we are starting to see a lifting of restrictions and life returning to some kind of normality” says Sir Rocco Forte, Founder and Chairman of Rocco Forte Hotels. “This will enable us to gradually open all our hotels according to the demands of our customers. We are ensuring that the highest standards of sanitation are in place so our guests and staff may feel comfortable and secure. I myself will be visiting the hotels as they open to ensure the proper standards are applied and that we can welcome guests within the traditional Rocco Forte hospitality.”
Rocco Forte hotels and resorts in the following locations, in Italy and Germany, will be the first to reopen their doors this month:
- Tuesday 2 June: Rocco Forte House, Rome
- Thursday 18 June: Hotel de Rome, Berlin
- Friday 19 June: Hotel de Russie, Rome
- Friday 19 June: Masseria Torre Maizza, Puglia
- Friday 26 June: Verdura Resort, Sicily
- Wednesday 1 July: The Charles, Munich
The outdoor areas and space that Rocco Forte Hotels properties provide is a natural advantage, ensuring complete reassurance towards comfort, safety, and privacy for all guests. Masseria Torre Maizza, set on a nine-acre estate, offers a private garden or terrace with each room or suite, resembling that of a private villa, whilst Verdura Resort spans a 230 hectare estate, with private Verdura Villas, and is coupled with a championship golf course and private beach. Meanwhile in more urban locations, Rome’s iconic Hotel de Russie, will be reopening with its historical 18th century garden built by Valadier and magnificently restored to its former glory in the past few months whilst the Hotel de Rome will be showing off the breathtaking Berlin skyline from its panoramic rooftop terrace bar. 1st July will see the reopening of The Charles Hotel in Munich whilst the first hotel to open in the UK is set to be The Balmoral, Edinburgh’s landmark hotel, on 1st August.
In readiness for all reopenings, Rocco Forte Hotels has implemented multiple health and safety measures, in line with Government advice, for the safety and comfort of hotel guests and staff. In addition to the thorough and regular cleaning and disinfection of all public spaces, and evident social distancing measures, the hotel group has applied its own protocol, including:
- All employees will be temperature checked each day and will undergo daily training on measures
- Guest’s luggage will be professionally disinfected before being delivered to each room
- Each room will be disinfected and sealed upon the departure of each guest
- Restaurants will open, following local social distancing measures and table spacing and welcoming guests to enjoy newly developed concepts both indoor and al fresco
- Social distancing and meticulous cleaning and hygiene measures will be maintained in all spa and gym areas, including changing and relaxation rooms
- Masks and hand sanitizer will be available for use of guests and staff
In addition to Rocco Forte Hotel’s primary concern of the wellbeing of guests and staff, the hotel group understands that travel flexibility is similarly imperative, and has consequently devised a cancellation policy whereby all existing and future individual bookings, made directly with Rocco Forte Hotels, with travel dates through until 30th September 2020, can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to arrival, without any charge – exceptions may apply to designated suites, villa and advance purchase reservations.
To enhance the hotel group’s new measures, Rocco Forte Hotels has launched an exclusive partnership with VistaJet, the first and only global private aviation company, offering hotel guests preferential rates on board its fleet of over 70 branded aircraft to safely reach resorts and hotels worldwide. VistaJet has taken additional steps to further strengthen its safety and security procedures every day, including updated crew protocols and onboard service standards; enhanced aircraft cleaning after every flight; passenger health declarations; and dedicated flight approval and coordination teams working on every booking so guests can travel with complete peace of mind.
