The Suite: La Suite Virginia

Dedicated to those who love an elegant style and refined details, the majolicas, the colors of the sea and the sky of Positano. A touch of contemporaneity and breathtaking views.

Description: Opened in April, the ‘Suite Virginia’ is an authentic declaration of love to the woman who helped make a myth the Saint Peter of Positano and was inspired by her very personal taste.

The 110-square-meter suite occupies an entire floor, has a privileged entrance to the rooftop pool, and direct elevator access, no stairs. Its spaces have been cleverly modulated between aesthetics and functionality thanks to the consolidated collaboration with architects Fausta Gaetani, Vivia Benini, Gaia Meriggioli and Ornella Ornaghi. The ceramic furnishings were designed and made exclusively for this suite by fine vietresi artisans of Raito, those made of glass by skilled mason blowers.

Starfish, intagged and not painted, float on the walls, in the mirrors or – along with the curls – in the beautiful glazed terracotta floor that stylizes the delicate waves of the sea on which the suite overlooks in several places, such as the private terrace with stunning views or the windows that frame superb views of the village of Praiano.

The pattern that decorates the head of the bed is an aquarium of clear Chagallian inspiration reminiscent of the geography of the hotel and whose teal hue is taken up in the soft sofa, sophisticated corner dedicated to sociability that opens onto a wall/atelier.

Scenically nestled beneath the living rock of the Coast, with its white candre and rounded corners to optimize space, the elegant bathtub is inspired by traditional Japanese models – deeper than western ones – and frames a bathroom space of extreme sophistication.

The shower instead has an open arched window on the sea that enhances the natural brightness of the environment. To perfect the rituals of the bathroom, real waxes create a soft tea light effect and lead to moments of absolute relaxation.
