At The Yard Milan your journey never ends; here you’ll find a thousand worlds you’ll never get tired to explore
Every nook and cranny of this stylish hotel bursts with character. Interiors are jam-packed with curios that the owner has collected over the years from antique shops and flea markets around the world, from hat boxes to vintage trunks. It’s snug and hugely atmospheric, with low lighting, heavy drapery and rugs that adding a warm and cozy feel. The quirky décor continues in the tastefully furnished themed rooms.
Rooms are mainly themed after a different sport, from hunting to motorcycling, while others feature an English country-style look for a cozy stylish feel. Each room boasts unique pieces of furniture. You’ll find cocktail cabinets, velvet armchairs and a hotchpotch of paintings decorating the walls, from abstract drawings to contemporary photography, and plenty of sports accessories. Most rooms have private balconies, and all have Nespresso machines.
The Doping Club
Experienced barmen shake up creative cocktails at the hotel’s trendy The Doping Club, which attracts a hip crowd throughout the day and night (if you manage to get your hands on the right password, you’ll be able to gain access to the speakeasy hidden at the back).
Gipsy Bistrot and Dirty Gym Pizzeria
Set in a large cozy dining area with cushioned seating, Gipsy bistrot serves a creative take on Milanese dishes with live jazz, swing and blues. The attached boxing-themed Dirty Gym pizzeria serves “gourmet” pizzas, with ingredients ranging from cod to beetroot.
